With Van Gogh’s Soul
Imagine Charles Bridge as Vincent van Gogh would have seen it. No sleek panorama, but a stream of energy, colorful strokes and pulsating restlessness. In this painting, Zuzana Veselá lets the well-known Prague landmark explode with expressiveness: the stone arches of the bridge break in dynamic lines, the Vltava River swirls in swirls of blue and turquoise, and the sky above Hradčany is quivering, full of swirling strokes reminiscent of Van Gogh’s famous “Starry Night”.
